A little tired from burning the midnight oil in preparation for this weekend’s racing, Wayne is never the less quietly confident of a good result.
The crew have had a chance to put a few laps under their belt after the double header at Willowbank in March, and are now ready to race. “Every successive run the car is getting faster and the set up even more finetuned. Testing between rounds has provided some really valuable data and I am looking forward to putting it to the test” said Wayne.
“The car is going really well and we are getting more and more competitive which each additional pass” he said, while putting the finishing touches on the car. There is always a buzz before a championship round, and even more so when it is your home track.
It is great to have all the support, with family and friends able to be there to watch and cheer you on, and this weekend will be no exception. With three full days of racing, the event promises to be full on, with Top Alcohol qualifying from lunchtime on Saturday and elimination of Sunday.
With a few changes in the crew for this weekend, Wayne will be in a new and interesting position of being able to concentrate on analysing the data instead of being the motor-man. This is a big step forward to the team and we look forward to seeing the results.
Stay tuned for updates and don’t forget to follow the team on Facebook.
